I am trying to resurrect this site that I created a few years ago. So I guess I should start with what I have been playing lately. I have finally branched out from just playing World of Warcraft and figure this site should reflect that. After about 13 years, I finally got bored. Actually, I stopped raiding and ran out of things to do in the game. Battle for Azeroth has not been the best expansion that WoW has had; although, with 8.3 it has gotten better. I am hoping that Shadowlands will be better. Anyway, on to the other games that have drawn my attention.
The game I have been playing the most over the last few months has been Warframe. It’s a free to play looter shooter that is amazing. I have been told that it is similar to Destiny, but I can’t confirm this since I have never played Destiny 1 or 2.
I like it mostly because it’s a bunch of short, fast-paced missions of varying degrees of difficulty and there is a lot of stuff to collect and play with. Most of the stuff being different kinds of guns and melee weapons along with warframes.
I have been discovering Cities: Skylines this past weekend after watching a ton of videos on how to make it work. It definitely has a steep learning curve. It’s similar to Sim City, but you seem to have a lot more control over exactly how your city is going to look and work. It also has a traffic simulator in it that can be infuriating. Cause if traffic backs up, then citizens can’t get to work, EMS can’t get to emergencies and building burn down and citizens die and then your city falls apart.
There are several different game modes, but the first one is to construct a city that hits ~80,000 citizens (depending on the map used). This can be challenging. My biggest city so far is about 50,000 and I am having trouble getting it to grow any bigger. I have about 50 hours on the game and am still very much a beginner.
The Outer Worlds
Of course I got this game the day it was released. I love the fallout series (except Fallout 76) and had to buy The Outer Worlds. Overall, I thought the game was exceptional. My only complaint was that it was too short. Which is probably the best complaint you can have for a game.
